Beau Badu (née Thom) is an Obie Award Winning Actor based in New York City. They’ve most recently performed in the New York Times Critics Pick The Fires by Raja F. Kelly at Soho Repertory. Prior to this dynamic performance they were seen in the Tony Nominated Broadway revival of The Skin of Our Teeth by Thorton Wilder with direction by Lileana Blain-Cruz at Lincoln Center Theater. On the CBS series East New York Beau Badu played the role of Officer Gabriel Fenster.

His other theater credit includes What to Send Up When It Goes Down by Aleshea Harris under the direction of Whitney White. In 2018, Beau Badu developed the role(s) from its inception at The Movement Theatre Company’s workshop to its off-broadway production at Playwright’s Horizon (2021). Their work has been witnessed at ARTNY (2018), Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company (2019), American Repertory Theatre (2019), The Public (2020), Brooklyn Academy of Music (2021), and Playwright’s Horizon (2021). They also performed as Giles/Topper in A Christmas Carol at the Tony Award winning American Conservatory Theater (2016).

Beau Badu earned a Master of Fine Arts at the American Conservatory Theater and a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University.
